Rondo Music London

Our Aims

Rondo Music London aims to deliver the highest standard of both instrumental and music theory tuition, tailored to individual needs. Rondo Music London provides regular performance opportunities for its pupils in-school and outside school, as well as preparing them for ABRSM and Trinity instrumental and theory exams at the right time. Our prime aim at Rondo Music London is to develop a love of music and for all pupils to develop life-long skills in playing an instrument. The majority of our students enjoy the challenge and goal of preparing for music exams and Rondo Music works closely with parents on deciding when pupils are ready to start to take exams.

Our History

Rondo Music London was founded by professional musicians, Natalia and Istvan Alexa in 2008, who were brought up with the Kodály concept. Music is a major part of their everyday lives, including performing and teaching, and they both have more than 10 years of experience.

In 2010, after being a private piano tutor for two years, Natalia started to teach piano and recorder at Barnes Primary School (SW London) to only a handful of pupils.

Within the same academic year, following positive feedback from parents, the number doubled and within two years of teaching Natalia was providing individual recorder lessons to more than 30 children on a weekly basis. As her pupil numbers kept growing, she extended the provision to teach French horn and trumpet.

Since 2016, Rondo Music London have started to run choir clubs as well at Barnes Primary School to children in KS1. Rondo Music London now offers tuition in piano, recorder, flute, fife, clarinet, saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, guitar and theory of music, and continues to extend the music provision it offers. Through offering an even wider selection of instruments, Rondo Music London keeps raising the standard of the music tuition they provide to more than 250 happy children ranging in ages 5 to 18.
